ROOF, in partnership with Rochester School District, runs a summer for children who are learning English each summer. The program focuses teaching elementary school students reading, math, and English. Transportation is provided, as well as a free lunch and breakfast for each child. Many of the staff members are bilingual and also work as home liaisons, helping parents connect with both ROOF's services and school district services. This program gives our non-English-speaking students an extra dose of academic and language help over the summer to better prepare them for the coming school year.
