ROOF has limited emergency services available for needy families in the Rochester area. Guidelines and eligibility requirements vary depending on funding sources.
Emergency vouchers may be available at ROOF and may be used for gasoline, prescription medication, and other critical household needs. These funds are limited and are meant as a last resort for families in financial crisis. Families can also get free head lice shampoo and combs. ROOF provides diapers, baby formula and food, and personal hygiene items to area families through the Food Bank. The ROOF staff maintains a database of local resources and work to connect clients with other resources in the community.
