ROOF works closely with Rochester School District and other community organizations for children to provide support programs for students of a wide range of ages in a setting outside of the schools. The students we serve are academically at risk due to poverty, family stress, learning difficulties, or any other kind of challenge that interferes with learning and academic achievement. By working with children and supporting their education, we hope to build a stronger, healthier community for Rochester's future. Student programs vary from year to year, depending upon grant funding sources, student needs, and liaisons with other educational and community groups for children. ROOF's emphasis is on increasing academic achievement, student self-esteem, a sense of membership to the community, and an understanding of the value of education for building a future for all of Rochester's children and youth.
Information about our current student programs can always be obtained either at ROOF (360-273-6375) or at any of the Rochester School District schools.
